<p>To measure the spiciness of a chili experts use the Scoville scale. This is a scale measuring the strength of peppers invented in 1912 by pharmacologist Wilbur Scoville on. The Scoville scale is intended to inform on the level of capsaicin (the molecule responsible for the spiciness of the pepper). </p>
<p>On the Scoville scale, variety &#8220;Red Savina&#8221; habanero pepper has between 350 000 to 580 000 Scoville units, the regular habanero (hot pepper) is between 100,000 and 325,000 Scoville units, serrano chili is between 10 000 to 23 000 Scoville units, the jalapeno was between 2500 and 8000 Scoville units. </p>
<p>The study was conducted by U.S. researchers. It analyzed the potential health benefits provided by these spicy peppers (habanero, Serrano, Jalapeno). The study was conducted on 34 people trying to <a href="http://www.jamesbowden4virginia.com/diet-papaya-mango-and-soursop.htm">lose weight</a>. </p>
<p>The participants took a pill known as DCT or dihydrocapsiate to simulate the same effects as capsaicin found in peppers. People who do not feel that spicy chilies will enjoy this version cause natural alternative DCT (dihydrocapsiate) spicy chili. The DCT is a version of capsaicin does not cause the burning sensation but has the same effects as capsaicin in weight loss. </p>
<p>Then the 34 participants followed a low calorie liquid diet and for 28 days. Half of these participants took a pill for 28 days from DPT regime. The other half took a placebo pill (no active ingredient). </p>
<p>Researchers found that eating these spicy peppers may help trigger weight loss. Indeed, the group that took the pill DCT has burned 2 times more calories compared to the group who took placebo. The group Pill DCT &#8220;has also burned more fat than the placebo group. </p>
<p>The researchers hypothesized that these spicy peppers (habanero, Serrano, Jalapeno) could literally <a href="http://www.jamesbowden4virginia.com/tag/lose-weight">burn the fat</a> in your body. </p>
<p>This would be done through the heat generating these peppers spicy when you eat. The heat from the concentration of capsaicin (which makes peppers spicy) might actually help your body burn more calories than usual. </p>
